My name is Krystal Cantu...
I was born and raised in The Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. My ambition and drive have always been strong since I was young. My parents raised and prepared me for a day I never thought I would experience.
In August of 2013, I was involved in a car accident that resulted in the amputation of my right arm.
The way I reacted to the accident was no surprise. This accident was meant to happen, and I was unknowingly being molded my entire life for that moment. I was out of the hospital in three days and back into Crossfit exactly one month later.
I went on to compete and coach as an Adaptive Crossfit Athlete. My journey was never easy, but I’ve taken each bump in the road as a lesson and a chance to come back a stronger individual.
My life after the accident has been nothing short of a blessing. I’ve traveled the United States competing and coaching as a sponsored Crossfit adaptive athlete and trainer, became a mother to an incredible little boy, started a motivational podcast and have helped inspire thousands to live up to their greatest potential.
This life can be beautiful when you choose to react to your differences and setbacks in a positive way.
